Claude Desktop and Cowork

Claude Desktop and Cowork can be used via the Anthropic-compatible Logicc gateway. Claude Desktop provides the graphical interface. Model requests and token consumption are attributed to the Logicc API key.

Beta: Availability and names of third-party inference features may change with updates from Claude Desktop. Check the integration before production use.

Quick start

1. Activate Developer Mode in Claude Desktop.
2. Select Gateway as the inference provider.
3. Enter the Logicc API key and base URL.
4. Restart Claude Desktop.
5. Select an unlocked Claude model.
6. Check quota after test request.

Requirements

• Current Claude Desktop app for macOS or Windows
• Active Logicc API key
• At least one unlocked Claude model
• Network access to https://api.logicc.cloud

1. Activate developer mode

1. Open Claude Desktop.
2. Open Settings.
3. Activate Developer Mode.
4. Open the Developer section.

If Developer or the gateway provider does not appear, the feature is not available in the app version or organization you are using.

2. Configure the Logicc gateway

1. Under Developer set the Inference Provider to Gateway.
2. Select a static API key for authentication.
3. Enter the Logicc API key.
4. Select Bearer as the authentication scheme.
5. Enter the following gateway base URL:

https://api.logicc.cloud/anthropic

The URL must end with /anthropic. Claude Desktop appends /v1/messages automatically. Do not append an additional /v1.

6. If available, run Test connection.
7. Save configuration and fully restart Claude Desktop.

The native model selector only shows Claude models. The authoritative list for a specific API key is:

4. Verify connection

1. Check whether Gateway is displayed.
2. Select an unlocked Claude model.
3. Send a short test request.
4. Then check consumption:

Limitations

• The native gateway model selector and Cowork only show Claude models.
• The regular chat tab is not routed via the Logicc API.
• Non-Claude models in Claude Code are not officially supported by Anthropic.
• External connectors, MCP servers and web functions create their own data flows.

Costs

Model requests executed via the gateway are counted towards the consumption budget of the Logicc API key. Agentic cowork and code sessions can generate many automatic model and tool steps. Opus models can therefore cost significantly more than Sonnet or Haiku models.

Budget, usage, and remaining budget are tracked in euros. Model prices are shown in US dollars per million tokens and include the Logicc markup of 15 percent.

Data protection

The user interface and shared local file operations run on the end device. The language model does not run locally. Prompts and required content are transferred to the activated model provider via the Logicc API.

Claude Desktop can send technical telemetry, update checks, or diagnostic information to Anthropic independently of the model call. The applicable data protection and confidentiality terms depend on the Logicc account and the enabled provider route.
