Assistants

What is an assistant?

Imagine being able to create your own AI expert for very specific tasks in your company. That is exactly what an assistant is at Logicc. It is like a digital colleague that you can tailor precisely to your team's needs.

Here are the core capabilities in detail:

  • Specialized knowledge: You can "feed" an assistant with your own documents. These could be internal policies, product catalogs, legal templates, or entire knowledge bases. The assistant then becomes an expert for exactly this content.
  • Automated tasks: It can take over recurring tasks for you. For example, it can automatically answer support requests based on your internal FAQs, summarize long reports in a few sentences, or draft emails in your company's style.
  • Team collaboration: Once created, an assistant can be shared with the whole team. This ensures that everyone accesses the same information and, for example, uses a consistent tone in customer communication.

In short: A Logicc assistant is your customizable AI specialist that uses your internal knowledge to speed up processes, ensure quality, and make your team's work easier.

How do I create an assistant?

Click Assistants in the left overview page; there you will see your assistants.

  • Under Your library, you will find assistants that only you can access.
  • Under Organization, you will find assistants that have been shared in your organization
  • Under Discover, you will find assistants created by us that you can add to your library.

Click Create assistant:

Give your assistant a name and description. These two fields do not influence your assistant's output. The instructions are where it gets interesting:

  • Here you have 30,000 characters to describe as precisely and in as much detail as possible how you want your assistant to behave and answer your questions.
  • Tip: Use another Logicc tab and use AI to make your instruction prompt as precise and efficient as possible.

Conversation starters help you and your assistant's users enter the conversation with your assistant as efficiently and precisely as possible.

You can provide assistants with background knowledge in the form of PDF files, spreadsheets, images, and many other file formats. The selected model can access these files when answering your requests and provide better answers through the additional context.

Under Tools, you can decide whether the assistant should have web search and image generation enabled.

An important next step is selecting the right model. Feel free to take a look here.

In the final step, you can decide whether the assistant should be visible only to you (private) or to your entire organization.

Writing a system prompt

The second important component of an assistant is the system prompt (the Instructions text field). This is a special instruction that is implicitly provided to the model before every chat request. System prompts are used to focus your assistant's answers on a specific area. This helps improve the quality and consistency of answers, exclude unnecessary information, and define output formats. You can find how to write a system prompt yourself and a collection of templates in our article Collection of System Prompts.
