GPT models are strong all-rounders. They are well suited for text work, emails, summaries, ideation, planning and many general tasks.
Use GPT models when you want flexible, well-written results or are not sure whether your task is more about writing, structuring or analysis.
Claude models are especially helpful for careful text and document work. Sonnet models work well for many professional standard tasks. Opus models are stronger and designed for particularly demanding analyses.

Gemini Flash is a good fit when speed matters. Gemini Pro is the stronger choice for more complex tasks.
