Short Chats for Better Results

Very long conversations lead to worse AI answers. Logicc therefore shows you a warning when your chat becomes too long, so you can get the best quality. Simply start a new chat to get optimal results again.

Why do long chats lead to worse results?

AI models have a natural limit on how much context they can process at once: the so-called context window. In very long conversations, the following happens:

  1. Information is lost: When the context window is full, the oldest messages automatically drop out. The model "forgets" important information from the beginning of the conversation.
  2. Answer quality decreases: In very long chats, different topics and contexts become mixed. The AI model has difficulty considering all information at once, and answers become less accurate.
  3. Middle content is overlooked: Research shows that AI models process information from the middle of very long conversations worse than information from the beginning or the end.

The warning in Logicc

To support you, Logicc automatically shows a warning when your chat reaches a critical length:

First warning: A friendly reminder appears that you should soon start a new chat.

Second warning: A clearer recommendation with a ⚠️ symbol indicates that answer quality may now be affected.

These warnings are not an artificial limitation, but a helpful hint so you can achieve the best possible results.

When should I start a new chat?

When changing topics: If you switch to a new topic or project, start a fresh chat.

After longer research: If you have worked through several complex tasks in a row, start fresh for the next task.

When the warning appears: As soon as you see the warning, it is time for a new chat.

When quality decreases: If answers become less precise or the model no longer considers earlier information.

Best practices for optimal results

Focused chats: Ideally, handle one topic or project per chat.

New task, new chat: Start a separate conversation for every larger task.

Repeat important information: When starting a new chat, briefly summarize relevant information instead of referring to old chats.

Precise requests: Formulate your questions as concretely as possible. This saves tokens and preserves chat quality for longer.

Tip: You can run several chats in parallel at any time. Use the sidebar to switch between different conversations and keep an overview.
